Solstice Recognized as an American Heart Association Fit-Friendly Worksite

January 22, 2015 - Plantation, FL

For the fourth year in a row

For the fourth year in a row, Solstice has been recognized as a Gold-Level Fit-Friendly Worksite by the American Heart Association.

“Physical activity and employee wellness are important priorities at Solstice. We are honored and excited to be recognized once again as a Gold-Level Fit-Friendly Worksite,” said Solstice COO Carlos Ferrera. “We’re committed to providing the best workplace environment possible. This will benefit our employees’ health and produce even more positive results for our worksite overall.”

American employers are losing an estimated $225.8 billion a year because of healthcare expenses. Lack of regular physical activity raises people’s risks for many medical problems, such as:

-- Obesity
-- High blood pressure
-- Diabetes

Illnesses cause them to miss time at work, which affects productivity. The Fit-Friendly Worksites program encourages positive change in the American workforce. It helps companies make their employees’ health and well-being a priority.
