The criteria and standards URAC upholds are beneficial to our clients and members.”

URAC is the leader in HUM Accreditation and the accreditation process demonstrates a commitment to quality services and serves as a framework to improve business processes through benchmarking organizations against nationally recognized standards. “By choosing to seek URAC Health Utilization Management Accreditation, Solstice has displayed leadership through a commitment to quality and accountability,” said Alan P. Spielman, URAC President and CEO.

The URAC HUM standards establish consistency in utilization management processes. The standards ensure that appropriately trained clinical personnel conduct and oversee the utilization review process, that a reasonable and timely appeals process is in place, and that medical decisions are based on valid clinical criteria.
