Solstice Receives Inc. Magazine’s Hire Power Award for Being a Leading U.S. Job Creator

November 01, 2013 - Plantation, FL

South Florida-based Solstice Benefits is featured—for the second consecutive year—in the Inc. Hire Power Awards, recognizing private businesses that have generated the most jobs in the past three years. Solstice is among the 437 private growth companies that are honorees, leading the way in creating more American jobs. The company added 45 new jobs from Jan. 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013, placing it No. 5 in the Top 100 Insurance Companies.

“We are thrilled to be recognized once again by Inc. magazine as a top job creator,” said Solstice COO Carlos Ferrera. “With our company’s meteoric growth, we’re fortunate to be able to add employees to the Solstice family. Our employees have always been the key ingredient to our success. I look forward to continuing Solstice’s expansion in the coming years.”

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that only 222,000 full-time jobs were added in 2012. Compare those numbers to the honorees of Inc. magazine’s Hire Power Awards, who created 69,182 jobs between Jan. 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013. These companies and others just like Solstice could hold the key to restoring America’s economic vitality.

“For the second year in a row, we are pleased to recognize the employers who are putting Americans back to work for a second time,” says Eric Schurenberg, Editor-in-Chief of Inc. “The Hire Power Awards are the only awards that single out job creators. We think it’s fitting to pay tribute to company founders not just for their business prowess but also for their immense contribution to the welfare of U.S. workers and the vitality of the U.S. economy.”

An award ceremony, sponsored by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, will take place Nov. 12, 2013 in San Francisco.
