Solstice Welcomes 100th Employee; No Plans to Stop Here

May 31, 2013 - Plantation, FL

The once “small” dental insurance company, Solstice Benefits, Inc., has succeeded its early days, hitting its 100th employee mark this week. Starting with 20 employees less than 15 years ago, Solstice is proud to recognize this significant accomplishment. A week of celebration marked this important milestone at Solstice where employees received desk plants representative of the company’s growth, and other events throughout the week. The celebration culminated at the company’s town hall meeting where employees welcomed the newest team members and reflected on past successes.

Over the last decade, each department within Solstice has grown with the addition of new positions to ensure constant innovation and the best possible customer service for clients. The internal growth can largely be attributed to the expansion of Solstice’s market and networks in the across the state of Florida and in the Northeast. With over 550,000 (and growing) members the company now serves, it is estimated that there will be an additional 37 new employees added to the Solstice family by the end of 2013. This rapid growth and commitment to job creation within the community and within the Insurance industry earned Solstice the “INC Hire Power Award”, ranking number six on their national list for three-year job creation.

Despite its growth, Solstice has remained true to its unique corporate culture, one of the driving factors behind their success, earning the “Florida’s Best Companies to Work For” Award for the third consecutive year. These awards, presented to companies who receive outstanding reviews from their own employees, have shown that not only is Solstice growing, but it is a place where people enjoy working. “It’s a good feeling knowing that people don’t come to this office everyday just because they have to, but because they want to,” said Solstice’s Chief Operating Officer, Carlos Ferrera. He continued, “I think that our family culture transcends to that ‘personal touch’ we add to dental insurance. It’s what makes us shine and has enabled us grow so quickly. Having a team that loves what they do, day in and day out, has been the foundation to our success.”
